Android 4.4 KitKat on the Samsung Galaxy S4

Now that Android 4.4 Kitkat has started to arrive on Samsung’s flagship device the Galaxy S4, I have decided to quickly run through some changes with the update. I have also included some instructions to manually update on the SPRINT variant of the S4 only at the moment.

Here is a full review of the changes included in Android 4.4 KitKat on the Samsung Galaxy S4:

FOR SPRINT GALAXY S4’s ONLY:

OTA Update Zip

1. Put the Update zip file (above) on an EXTERNAL SD CARD
2. Power off phone
3. Press and hold vol up, home, and power buttons until the phone boots into stock recovery
4. Use vol buttons to navigate and power button to select apply update from external storage
5. Find the MK2 to NAE update zip and select it
