Pre-Release Facebook Home App Leaks With Bugs

As I’m sure many of you have heard, Facebook is releasing a standalone application called Facebook Home. This Facebook Home application has leaked today courtesy of Modaco. If you are unfamiliar with what Facebook Home is, I made a video explaining it here.

Anyways, the leak includes three different APK files that can be installed on your device. Just transfer the files to your device, and use a file explorer to find and install the files.

You MUST uninstall any previous versions of the Facebook app before you can install it. If your device has Facebook built into the system, you must be rooted to uninstall the app.

You screen may have a maximum resolution of 1280×768, so anyone with a 1080p screen is out of luck at the moment. In regards to this leak, it doesn’t function like the full app will. There are many things that don’t work and it has a decent amount of features missing. The chat heads are non existent, there is no integration with messaging or email, and it’s difficult to navigate through at the moment.

Overall it’s something to try out, but not keep on your device due to the partial functionality. Let me know what you think if you try it out!

Downloads (You must install all 3):

Main FB App

Integrate with SMS

Home launcher

EDIT: It looks like Facebook has killed the ability to log in with this app. Looks like you will have to wait until Monday for the official release!
