HTC M7 with Sense 5.0 Images Leak

With all of the Samsung Galaxy S4 talk, HTC will need to come up with something big to combat the S4’s popularity. It is looking like this device will be called the M7. This M7 is said to be running a new version of HTC’s Sense –  version 5.0. My friends over at Android Police have posted some leaked images which I have posted below.

One huge difference from the One X, or other popular HTC devices is the movement of the three capacitive buttons at the bottom of the device. The home and recent apps buttons have been swapped which, in my opinion, is a smart idea for right handed phone users. Here are some of the rumored specs:

  • 1080p Display (of course)
  • 1.7GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 13MP Rear Camera
  • 2300 mAh battery (average size)
  • LTE capability (More than one US carrier?)

Other than those very promising specs, the HTC M7 is also rumored to come with Sense 5.0. Personally, Sense has been my least favorite manufacturer Android overlay. I am really hoping version 5.0 will feel much more vanilla Android. Below are some leaked images of the new Sense 5.0. Be sure to let me know what you think!

I have been living under a rock, I guess. I haven’t heard any S4 talk. Where would I go to find this S4 talk?!

  3. santos Ventura says:

    Nice 🙂

  4. I’m a Samsung fanboy so this looks weak to me so far. We’ll see as the debut gets closer.

  5. K Thai says:

Is this supposed to emulate live tiles like Windows phones? This version of Sense definitely seems less intrusive than previous ones. Stop with the white menu backgrounds LOL!

Not a fan of Sense in general, but looks better than previous versions

  9. Joel Cook says:

It looks pretty cool. An overhaul of the sense ui would be great but I’m going to stick with nexus devices for now. Maybe HTC will make a nexus device in the near future.

  10. Alex W says:

Regarding the placement of the onscreen buttons: Given that they’re no longer capacitive, isn’t it possible HTC is just allowing the order to be customized?

  11. Lanh Nguyen says:

looks less intrusive but we’ll have to wait and see if it really is or if it still a ram hog like all previous versions.
