Hey, TIm. I noticed a lot of comments on the youtube site from people getting stuck on the fastboot screen waiting for the bootloader to unlock. I had the same problem, solved it by running toolkit as administrator, and manually putting phone into fastboot–instead of allowing the toolkit to do so. Not sure if only one of those variables fixed my problem, or both, But that’s what fixed it for me.

  2. Tim,
As always a great/helpful video. I also had to start the toolkit as Admin to get out of “fastboot screen lockup” . This MAY be common knowledge by now, as admin sorted it out i didn’t bother searching it any farther. As far as the toolkit itself goes not only did i give a shout out to the dev, but threw him a few bucks too, GREAT asset for any nexus owner

I’ve seen this from many other users. The WiFi Tether app does not work on Android 4.2.1 for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus (toroplus). The OS needs to be 4.1.2 or lower.

  4. Alex says:

I tried rooting my Sprint Nexus using the toolkit but there isn’t a selection under the sprint part with 4.2.1, how do I root my Nexus running 4.2.1?

  5. Jadacus Santos says:

Can you make a video on how to root the Galaxy Nexus on 4.2.1 and how to get wireless tether?
    Thanks love your videos.
