The Google Nexus 9 DOES Have a Notification LED Light

For all of those that are wondering, the Google Nexus 9 Does have a notification LED light. Even though it has one, it only serves one purpose at the moment. The only way to get it to show up is if you deplete the battery all the way and with the tablet plugged in, press the power button. It will flash 3 times letting you know your battery is dead and needs to be charged. Hopefully custom roms will be able to take control of the Nexus 9 notification LED and make it more useful. Maybe Google will even push out an update that will allow it to work for other purposes – who knows?

I went ahead and made an UNLISTED video below to show this off. Please feel free to share this video so others know.

Also, if you search for “notification” in the Settings on the Nexus 9, there is a result titled “Pulse notification light”. Unfortunately, if you tap on it, it is nowhere to be found on the page it takes you to.
