Manually Update the Nexus 7 to Android 4.4 KitKat




Below is a video that will show you the correct steps to manually update the Nexus 7 to Android 4.4 KitKat. This will work for both the 2012 and 2013 variants of the Nexus 7, just MAKE SURE you download the correct file for your device.

You will need to make sure you have the Android SDK tools and ADB installed on your PC.

If your PC isn’t recognizing your device (DEVICE NOT FOUND), install these drivers: http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/UniversalAdbDriverSetup6.msi

NOTE: This is the exact same as if you accepted the OTA update from Google, just done manually. No data will be wiped. I am not responsible for any damage done to your device.
